The Digital Humanities team at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science is dedicated to enhancing humanities research through the use and development of advanced digital resources and tools. Our mission is to integrate state-of-the-art digital approaches into both research and scholarly communication.
Our team is involved in all aspects of digital scholarship at the Institute. We manage digital workflows, develop bespoke research tools, and apply cutting-edge digital methods to humanities research. We ensure that all research outputs meet the highest standards of accessibility, usability, and sustainability.
In collaboration with researchers, we address complex digital challenges, developing workflows and tools to enhance the Institute's digital research infrastructure. We work closely with the Library's Research Data Management to support researchers with data handling from the initial project planning stages through to publishing and archiving.
As both developers and scholars, our team members also pursue original research in Digital Humanities, leveraging their expertise to contribute to this evolving field.
