Carla Rodrigues Almeida studied mathematics at the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES), Brazil, and got her master’s degree in pure mathematics in 2013, focusing on geometry and topology. She then obtained her PhD in physics in 2017 with a thesis on quantum cosmology, also at the UFES. She was a Junior Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas (CBPF), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from October 2017 until February 2018. She is currently a Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow at the MPIWG with a research project on the History of Black Holes Physics, working in collaboration with Senior Researcher Jean Eisenstaedt from the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).
