It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Christian Forstner. As a physicist and historian of science, Christian worked tirelessly to highlight the importance of the history of physics. He also initiated the German Physical Society's involvement in the Quantum Centenary project, of which the MPIWG’s Department I and Research Group "Historical Epistemology of the Final Theory Program" is part. This was very shocking news for us. Christian will be sorely missed by all those who had the great fortune and pleasure of knowing him.
