This evening lecture takes place in connection with the exhibition Leonardo's Intellectual Cosmos.
The aim of this lecture is to explore the layout of Leonardo da Vinci’s manuscripts, with a particular focus on the avoidance of line breaks at the end of the pages—and the rare cases in which a “spillover” still occurs.

About the Speaker
Frank Fehrenbach is globally recognized as an outstanding scholar who has revitalized art history and established it as overarching Visual Studies. He especially received international acclaim for his studies on the works of Leonardo da Vinci in which he examines aspects of art history in a new interdisciplinary context invoking mathematics, optics, physics, geoscience and psychology. Fehrenbach thus overcomes the boundaries of his discipline and sets new benchmarks for art history as one of the innovative humanities.
