This brown bag lunch is one among those introductory sessions that give overviews to specific methods, and this time will focus on Creating Geographical Maps from Historical Data. You will learn about the basic concepts about GIS, useful terminology, available tools for easy-creating maps, and the essentials of preparing / collecting data to be put into these tools. I will do some demos to show you how that works, and will also show-case some of the latest development in the in-house projects that utilise such mapping interfaces.
